Henry Allshouse Sr.

This is biography of Henry Allshouse Sr. (1725-1803) is designed to provide the readers and his descendents with a broad understanding of his life and times. Historical references are liberally interspersed within the text to provide perspective about the events and people that influenced his life.

Henry's life spanned an extraordinary dynamic period in our nation's history. He arrived as a German immigrant in the bustling new world City of Philadelphia in 1748, helped found and build the town of Easton in 1752, had a front row seat to many Indian Peace Conferences during the French and Indian War and saw his town and family become fully engaged in the Revolutionary War.
